Ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the new mural on the Little Calumet River bridge. The mural will be created by renowned African American artist Bernard Williams. The mural will tell the story of the life of Marshall 'Major' Taylor. The ceremony will also honor the 10-year anniversary of the Major Taylor Trail, Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago, and the 5-year anniversary for Women RUN the World. There will be a 5k walk/run sponsored in partnership with Women RUN The World, Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago, and Friends of the Major Taylor Trail immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
